The Northern Central High Railers is a group of O Gauge model railroad enthusiasts with home layouts. The group spans Southern and Central Maryland to Southern Pennsylvania, the original footprint of the Northern Central Railway. The NCHR first met at Craig's house on 8/25/05.

Our primary goal is to have monthly "Round Robin" meetings at our homes. Hosting members pick the time and date of their meetings, provide food and drink to the group, run the trains for the group, and make the rules about bringing children, etc. Hosts may invite friends to their meetings, even better if the friends also have home layouts and may be interested in joining the NCHR.

We also occasionally visit railroad related museums, scenic railroads, and non-member layouts. So far as a group we have visited the Virginia Transportation Museum, Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, Cass Scenic Railroad, the Durbin and Greenbrier Railroad, Railfest at the Horseshoe Curve, and Steamtown. We also have visited as a group Tony Lash's, Rich Battista's, and Howard Zane's layouts.

We would like to add one or two new members. If you are interested, have a home layout, and live within an hours drive of Cockeysville, Maryland 21030 contact us at craignor1@me.com and we can discuss becoming a member of the NCHR.
